Integrated LED Brake and Indicators

Saw these

http://www.bikermart.co.uk/proddetai...RTNER=Goog le

and

1. wondered if anyone had any experience.
2. Are they legal without other indicators on rear.
3. Are they visible enough?
4. Any pics ????

Thanks in advance.

Not worth the hassle tbh. Don't comply with use and construction regs. 50/50 whether you'd get an MOT and they'll need some wiring to get the flash rate down.....
Seen them on several bikes. On the 748/996, the angle of the light in the seat means you can hardly see them either which mean the car behind you can't....

I've had them on bikes before, and passed MOT ok, but you could always swap back at that time. Makes the rear so much tidier IMHO

Yeh I get the point about the fact that they can be unclear and are not angled down. I found some that are angled down tho, and said to be brighter.

Quick fix with resistors tho to fix the flash rate.

I also read that although they have passed MOT's in the past, there are now more strictly enforcing these style of indicators, as a fail. But some folks are saying they have had no probs at all.

Easy job to pop them back to standard for MOT., BUT will the polis be ok with them. Are they safe ??????

Was thinking of OBERON bar end LED's ones as well, I was told that they alleviate the need for rear and fronts. ??????

As empty a rear as possible.

I have used a product from Evoluzione Cyclesport, they use all exisitng kit and it was very easy to fit, passed MOT and guys riding behind said they were clear and easy to see, even when braking....although I'm not sure is the company exists anymore??
I would say it does make the back end a lot neater IMO.

Thats why I got rid of mine, trying to lead rideouts and nobody behind can tell if your braking or not, disaster waiting to happen

There are ones available in the states, that the LED's are angled away from the board, so that you get the full lighting.

Doing more research.

Thanks guys.

I bought a set ofthese last year..
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/94-04-95-9...item5ae5e2b335

Top quality, they work great and passed the MOT a fortnight ago (with the original red lense fitted instead of the clear one to retain the stock look). Expensive postage is a downside and I got huckled for customs too when they arrived.
