Trouble at t\'mill

Just spoke to Chris who is a wiz with engines at Louigi's.

Having now looked at the bike in detail, he reckons that the engine was making around 40bhp and not revving past 6,500, as the 600 carbs/620-valve/long inlet set-up was actually restricting the bike - bugger!

So he's gunna try to fit fuel injection in the next 2 weeks, but possibility we won't make Snett.

It's either that or run the 675.

Keep you posted

Just spoke to Rich, and although there is a 50/50 chance we could miss Snett (depending on it going smoothly or not) there seems to be a real buzz in his workshop.

Luckily for me, he has most of the bits to fit the injection system.

Also, good to know that I'm not completely useless and could do 1.27's at CC with 40bhp

Can't wait to have a bike with 60

Don't be silly now :P

CK & AK have the BB now, and I believe it's running over 50bhp... they wouldn't tell me how much though

So if your 620 on the same carbs and inlet tracts as mine but yours no doubt having bigger exhaust headers only makes 40bhp what does my ickle 583 make.

Since found out that there is a problem with the pick-ups and the fact that the timing would have been a mile out (or something) - hence the backfiring all round the circuit

We all know your 583 is making 85bhp Kev

our bike when 583 std, was putting out 47 at Cadwell

At C/Combe - when kit had been added 2 days before the race it was 51.8. Compression was much better tho, after the pistons had been attacked (or something like that)

Not mucho difference, but when done as a % of power it all helps - but still lagging behind the 620's of which some are putting out 64hp

C

ps: Dom, am looking forwards to the next round
