Are 996R & 998S discs identical?

Help, does anyone know if the front disc's of these models are interchangeable?

(N.B i do have a parts CD from Chi which should answer this question...but i can't find the CD, i put it somewhere safe)

Thank you.

they are identical in that they assist you in stopping from high speed and they are round and made of metal ......

otherwise there may be differences ...

Looks like they have different part numbers between the 998 and the 998S FE. Though the 998S FE definitely has the same discs as the 996R

Here's the part numbers

996R
492.4.026.1A

998 & Matrix
492.4.038.1A

998S FE (only 998S listed in the catalogue site)
492.4.026.1A

They migt have different numbers, but I think you will find they are identical in all other aspects.

I'd be inclined to suspect that the 996R and 998S are both full floaters whereas the standard 998 & Matrix are only Semi's hence the different part numbers.

Although from a size and offset persepctive they'll be the same.
