TPFT?
When it's that cheap why not go fully comp?

Well last year when i checked they wanted over £600 for fully comp!

Just done an online check and it comes back at £190!!!!!!

But on a bike that only worth £3500 on a good day i'm not sure it would even be worth claiming if it was written off. £500 excess, incresed premiums for five years afterwards etc.

I'd be interested in other peoples opinions though. Renewal date is 29th of June so i've got a few days to decide.

Just tried Norwich Union Direct to see if they could quote me happy. Well i certainly had a good laugh!!!

Full Comp, £600.85
TPFT, £464.40

and even though i filled out the form to say it was an ST4 the quote kept coming back as an ST2.

Unbelievable.

600 comp!?!?!?!?!?! Thats almost as much as I\'m expecting mine to be this year and I\'m ancient!
Know what you mean, can't you get a "protected" NCB too? At least you'd get enough back for a deposit on another bike if you had to claim. May not be a lot to some people but I.M.O. the remaining 3k seems an awful lot to throw down the road as an uninsured loss for the sake of a hundred nicker. Sorry to tempt fate and all

OK I'm slightly longer in the tooth than Rockhopper at 40 and a bit.
My renewal with Carole Nash gives fully comp protected NCB and full Euro recovery etc for £359.
This may sound expensive, but going abroad twice a year the Euro breakdown would cost me at least £115 on top so I is happy.

Naaaah, wouldn't bother Mort...
I mean, they're only bothered if it would make it a higher theft risk.
I reckon if you mentioned someone had painted it, they'd give you at least a 50% refund on your policy...

Only kiddin mate.......:P
