Great news Kim..............I have to say Ducati UK are usually very good in cases like this.

Reckon you need to get an 848 they can take a good thrashing

Yes thanks Roy, stunning you might say....never doubted DUK

I know the 848 is up to a thrashing not because what you get up to but good old B.radders My wife even suggested giving Paul a call to see if he don't mind giving me a backy That would have put the bike to the test not to mention my heart rate

Point is I don't think my superior 1098 has been thrashed..........never seen the need to put it in top yet

Well, I never thought I would still be without a bike seems like parts are being handcrafted out of metal imported from Venus using only a toothpick

What can I say DUK agreed to pay but when

The least they could do is lend you a bike.

I guess it's a bit like the stock market in that the success can go up as well as down. I think history tells the real story When was it now Yamaha last won World superbikes???

Got very excited last Saturday when the call was expected to go and collect my bike....at last only been ....what a month anyway got the call but it was bad news, bike still running like a dog so no bike for me

Got another call on Monday informing me it may be a bent valve??How could this occur then given the bike was running reasonably well the weekend before I took it in the shop. Everytime I stopped at lights etc it stalled but as it was running a little rough since fitting the Db killers and removing them I took it to be Co2 or some such issue. Not the case after MR worked all day Saturday changing bits to eliminate them; they were still no wiser. So engine to be stripped and check for bent valve and I guess any other damage Hopefully DUK will include this if it is found to be the problem otherwise Christmas is looking slim this year.

Surely A leakdown test would reveal a bent valve, after all if its bent it can't be sealing properly
Sorry to hear your still bikeless Kim, its turning into a long running Saga

Yes it's a bit worrying to hear they are struggling to identify the root cause of the problem. If they can't sort it very soon I will be unable to ride it until mid Dec so they may have to deliver it back to me.
