De restricting standard cans 748

I am running Scorpion race cans and chip at the moment. Two questions:

1. How do I de-restrict the stock cans? Is it a case of drilling the rivets out and then what next?

2. Once de-restricted will the current chip work with the new cans?

Detailed account involving a few beers.
Five pages with lots of pictures, very good.

Thanks.

I didn't realise the mid pipes are restricted also, is this true for European bikes?
