iron discs what way round

can someone let me know what way round these discs go. They have a groove cut in them which runs either (from the outer edge), left to right or right to left. need to know what side of the wheel they go.waiting in speedy, impatient anticipation.

I know the groove. It's there to do a couple of things....
1. to stop the pads glazing,
2. to vent any gas buildup under the pads which causes brake fade.

It's this second one which I assume would determine the direction of the disc. Can't seem to find the words to explain why, but so the grooves can scoop the airflow properly I'm thinking the leading edge of said groove must be at the outer edge of the disc.

see what i'm on about?

it shows the groove going from left to right, (from outer edge) would that mean the other side would be the same or right to left? im confusing myself here.

Imagine a spiral (don't get all hypnotised, now) as the wheel turns in the forward direction it would be spiral that's getting larger. This should be true for both sides.

I knew I shouldn't have cracked that bottle of red!

Adam, are the rotors seperate to the carriers? If not, then they would be self determing. Just bolt them on.
