996 SPS Suspension Question

Front Ohlins suspension on a SPS (Y2K model) - Large blue anodised nut on top of the fork leg. (are you with me so far)

Turning clockwise I think increases the preload - the standard setting for 25mm static sag is 10 turns from full clockwise position - True or False.

Allen key inside the blue nut adjusts rebound damping 12 clicks form full clockwise position for standard - True or False

I was trying to set up static sag on the front of the bike last night, and just want to know if I was getting it right because I could only reduce the sag to 25mm by having the big blue nut wound fully clockwise.

The rear sag and ride height perfect, thanx to my newly aquired ride height gauge from K-Tech.

Ok I have the answer now from my suspension man JHP. Preload is wound fully anti -clockwise to the zero position not fully clockwise as I stated.

pguenet if you want my settings for various road track conditions - send me an e-mail and I'll forward a Word format Table.

DJ - What bike did you get your Ohlins from? Careful, those settings are apparently only for the 996SPS and non transferable to other ohlins equipped bikes. Apparently there were some differences on the 996sps due to homologation rules. That something I did not kow.

Wheele thanks a lot for that. I will put it to practice soon!
