Showa Fork Strip Down - Any tips?

Gang.

Day off work tomorrow which I intend to use to drop forks out of the 748, strip, replace seals, bushes oil(!) etc.

Made up tools to compress spring and hold damper tube to remove top cap/nut.

Any tips from anyone who's done this before?

Is it in any way worth dropping the bottom bolt out and hosing out the lower tube/damper rod?

Coop
