2014 Desmo Due Technical Regulations

This is the first draft
There will probably be a few minor amendments, some brought on by ourselves, namely oil and fuel related, so start thinking of ways to replace the catch or rubber strap on the front of your tank with a more secure system that involves a bolt or two. Also lock wire other bolts that go into oil cavities and not just the usual filler cap, sump plug, oil filter and cross filter

Tyres have still to be confirmed
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

For those that struggle to read the rules

Class B entrants will have to meet the following entry criteria:

a) Clubman and Clubman A licence holders required to wear a Orange vest as of 1st January 2014.
Or
b) Raced in Desmo Due on a 583cc machine in 2013, for 2 or more races.

Those riders within Class B who obtain or qualify for a licence above Clubman level will be allowed to stay in the Class.

General:

Discretion may be shown by the committee towards entrants who do not meet all of these criteria, but who are entering in the spirit of the series. Such applications to be reviewed and ratified by the Race Committee at the earliest opportunity.

Up Date

updated version of the DD Entry rules

No update on the tyre situation yet, hopefully I will hear more once everyone is back to work after the New Year

only change over the previous version is due to the amount of rounds in the 2014 season.

Due to the 2014 season containing 9 meeting it is made up 26 individual races
Of which a Maximum of 23 will count towards the championship.

As such a rider who participates in more than 23 races will need to drop results

In these circumstances Riders will be allowed to drop either
Up to 3 Did Not Starts
OR 2 Did Not Starts and a 1 Did Not Finish
OR 1 Did Not Start, 1 Did Not Finish and lowest scoring finish,
OR 1 Did Not Finish and their 2 lowest scoring finishes
OR their 3 lowest scoring finishes

This is to allow those racing in the Desmo Due 2014 Championship to again budget for an 8 round series if they so wish and also to encourage respect among racers out on the track, yet allow for either one error of judgement or one bit of bad luck

So if taking part in all 26 races the options is to drop
3 DNS
2 DNS and 1 DNF
1 DNS, 1 DNF and lowest scoring finish
1 DNF and 2 lowest scoring finishes.
3 lowest scoring finishes

Lowest scoring finishes includes 0 (zero) point results
