Monty I hope your sorted in time to take that troublesome old bike of yours to Italy for the Giro, and I hope you have the bikes electrical problems sorted by then
How nasty. Hope it mends cleanly for you. These things can take time and can ache and twinge for months afterwards. When it's fixed you'll have to give us the thumbs up!!
It seems I am more popular than I deserve-I am deeply touched guys and girls-anyway I have been to see the consultant and the current prognosis is as follows:
It seems that the abrasion of the tendon was caused by the Ti plate put in my wrist 8 1/2 years ago after my little Brands incident............. Anyway apparently I need to have the plate removed (which the Orthopod who put it in said wouldn't be needed since it will have to be cut off the bone). I will then need to have a piece of synthetic tendon inserted since the broken bit will be all frayed-this may be done in one opp or possibly in 2 seperate ones-lovely. The consultant also said that I will need a hand specialist or plastic surgeon to do the op since it is very specialist work. I am likely to be in plaster 2-3 months since tendons take a dam long time to heal-last time was 8-10 weeks and that was 25 years ago-ho hum...................
The elctrical problems are most likely just the power cable has detached from the alternator-so all I will need to do is get too it and then re-solder-no problem..............I hope.
