Brands Race Report from Hottrax website

Ducati Desmo Due

Race 1

Held with riders wearing black arm bands in respect of Ducati enthusiast Rodney Wilcock, Matthew Lawson was pressured in the 14 lap race and was seriously pushed by Matt Lobb whilst Chris Clarke took third in Class A, albeit some way down the road - we lost early impressive racer Dallas Hornblow just after half distance. Outside the top three we had Michael Burke, Kevin Palmer with his re profiled immaculate Desmo in the sights of Phil Daruvalla - these guys were a lap up on Kev Ellis, Neil Russell and Tom Roberts

In the smaller class B machines, Andrew Claridge, who finished fourth on the road enjoyed a six second margin over Jim Brain with Andrew Blomfield, Scott Wilson, Miles Watson Court and Mark Hamilton making the top half dozen finishers; outside the top six were Mykal Trim, Dan Jones, James Robinson, Dean Wilcock and Robert Colton bringing up the rear.

Race 2

18 laps of Ducati dicing; Matt Lawson and Chris Clarke began pulling away from the pack early doors leaving a small pack including Lobb, Claridge, Brain and Palmer to scrap over the next places. Ominously light rain began to fall after Clarke had hit the front and riders were taking notice of the precipitation which was getting a grip - left arms reached for the sky and it was back to the pitlane causing an 8 lap re run. Having lost Clarke to the weather the re start was held in extreme hale, Lawson made the best of starts to keep a couple of bike lengths in front of Jim Brain on his Class B machine with Palmer in a impressive third, Claridge, Wilson and Blomfield were the top six.

Race 3

The racing was much closer in the final 'tifosi' event of the weekend; no raised eyebrows that Baleta took the win to match his earlier conquest, however it was hard graft. Having been fifth on the opening lap he worked at progressing up the ranks and left it until the final tour to pounce on Lawson dumping him into second. Burke had been consistent carrying third place throughout the race whilst Class B ambassador Claridge had been as high as second on the road before dropping back to fourth but still King B. Blomfield concluded his weekend of fun in fifth ahead of Brian, Daruvalla, Ellis, Hamilton, Wilcock, Roberts and Mykal Trim

That's an understatement, do we get any input into the report or is it done purely by Hottax? During the racing Karen also commented that it didn't sound like the circuit commentator knew there were two classes out there, any way we can educate him about DD racing?
