Not a good day!
My daughter was due to fly to Sri Lanka today to do some voluntary work. Compleatly our fault, she missed the flight from Heathrow this morning.
She had a budget return ticket which she had booked in advance. We realised that we could not change it or upgrade it as it was our fault but were quite prepared to buy another ticket for the outward journey but use the return half of her ticket for her to come back on. But no, apparently you can't do that, you have to buy another separate return ticket at an inflated price.
This doesn't seem right but I suppose it's just another way of airlines making more money.
