View Full Version : 520 Chain Conversion
Just about to do a 520 chain conversion on my 999,One of my mates that works for HM Plant Honda has giving me a RK 520 HRV2 with just the right amount of links.... Lovely bit of kit... Have orderd front and rear talon cogs..... My OE chain is well shagged with more tight spots than i dont no what :(....Do you think the 520 will be up to the job?? Its a proper racing chain, but it still has Oring's.....Its so light i think it might snap..... No more mingers !! .Has anyone done this conversion and if so what do you think the best option is.

Hi Dave, I have Run 520 chains on most of my race bikes and providing you get as heavy duty a chain as possible there shouldn't be any problems
kev
Cheers for that Kev..... Just a little concerned about the life span... The OE chain has only done 3800 miles....perhaps its made of cheese !!
