I think everyone knows this kind of lock is defeatable, but the speed and simplicity...:o

Thing is, dcr, once this sort of information comes into the public domain (and it's all over the web, apparently), they're not even a deterrent, just a joke. I mean, I used to think, oh well, at least they'd stop some kid riding off on your bike whilst you popped into the newsagents for a packet of fags.

Clearly, they don't even do that. Those Sold Secure people (who have quite some sway over insurance companies) have plenty to answer for.

My Kryptonites have stood up to this method, however, an old disc lock I have was easily opened. I noticed that the Kryptonite keys are of a slightly larger diameter than the disc lock. Whether this makes a difference I don't know. Still worrying though.
