Anyone tell me why my dip beam is so poor ? is this common, (just had bike) main beam points at the sky, dip beam is a weak yellow "blob" about ten feet infront of bike, sort of "dish shaped", tried adjusting with the front adjuster, no-joy. can I fit better bulb ? any suggestions gratefully received. I like to ride at night, but not in the dark !!!

Thanks

I've had a few and never had a good headlight, its like riding with a dark visor. :D now the lights on the 749,999 is a different switch that on and the neighbours think the aliens have landed. never tried a detter watt bulb so I will wait to see how you go on and if it works let us know.

Strange: I always thought the lights on the 748/996 are pretty good; not in the R1 class, maybe, but quite decent.

If you want lousy headlights, you should ride the Supersports!:bouncy:

I use Philips Vision Plus / Premium bulbs and they're a noticeable improvement over the oe items.

I prefer these to a higher wattage bulb as you don't then have to worry about the current rating of the wiring etc.

They're not the cheapest thing out there, but they are good.

I use some of those Xenon (philips) jobies from Halfords & they seem to make a big difference
