View Full Version : Marchesini wheels or not?

Had my wheels out to get new tyres and noticed that the front one is cast with BREMBO in it.

Thought that 748R's (2002) were meant to have Marchesini wheels?

They are the five spokes and everything I have read suggests that they should be Marchesini, so why are they stamped with Brembo?

Anyone out there know the answer...??

Same thing I reckon, early ones were branded Brembo, the later ones Marchesini, all made by Brembo - designer of the 5 spoke was Mar-someone or other, he then got together with Vic and created Marvics!!!

Mostly true!!!

Was beginning to think I'd got moody wheels!

They are Marchesini made by Brembo as all stock rims are.

You can tell the difference between cast (Brembo/Stock) five spokes and the Mag fives spokes because the cast ones have a ridge in the spoke, whereas the mags are smooth!

Hi
The last original alloy Marchesini's were produced in 2000 used on 996SPS then after that all alloy Marchesini have been manufactured by Brembo- as Marchesini company could not cope with the original equipment supply demand by Ducati

yep same with the 749 and the 999 they have marchesini written on them but look carefully and says brembo embossed in the casting.
