Currently managing a big deal that meant dropping all other work to get it done. Now the top bods have decided we might not continue (waiting to see how bad the PR could be if we don't) so I am now sat here 'waiting' I don't want to incurr more costs by carrying on, but can't stand the team down until its been finalised.

So now, I am BORED!!!!

I have done all the things i can think of and getting very fed up. I can't even go and chat to people as it would give the game away :(

Please help me with either humour or suggestions of things i can do (remember its work internet connection)

As Flavour Flav once said "Don't believe the hype!"

You should try reading BP's intranet! Or if you REALLY want a giggle you should try reading Microsoft's!

2 in a month.... what? since you got it? or two in the last week?

I noticed the last meal... the Chilli, there seemed to be some left over, probably hidden in the deepest darkest realms of my freezer...

How about looking further down this board (bored?) and reading the smoke bomb instructions.

Set one of those off

That should set the fire alarms going and you can spend an hour in the car park chatting to all your colleagues while they evacuate the building

Wait a minute though....the instant dismissal that goes with that plan might make it a non starter

hmmm...Jools you are a very bad boy...hmmmmm

It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't mean that I would be stood in the car park talking to a bunch of American Enterprise Architects that actually think that the consolidation and reallocation of servers to create a virtual server environment for on demand use is actually interesting..... :rolleye:

Cool, they could use Vmotion to dynamically move images between hardware platforms maintaining a stateful connection :D combined with monitoring and operational processes you can have an automated provisioning sysytem

err ....

Well if you are capable of talking jibberish as above then you would fit right in here :D

You do however, need the ability to describe and sell a fantastic solution before handing it over to delivery who will realise its not actually possible to meet the requirements :)
