funny noise

I have a 748bp year 1999, upon returning from a ride out (engine quite hot) then turning the engine off, there apears to be a funny sound coming from the bike, I don't think it's a ticking down sound, it's more an electriacal pinging sound. Has anybody heard of anything similar.:roll:

I get a similar sound from my 998s and havent a clue what it is, you have to listen very carefully to hear it but its there, almost like a fuel system de presurizing!:o

yes, that's it. It continues for some time, nothing to worry about i suppose...

It sounds like you're hearing the fuel tank venting. "they all do that sir" ;)
They do it even after they've been stood a while to.
