Now that I have stopped road riding, I intend to lay the bike up over the winter. Unfortunately the garage seems to be pretty damp, and short of re-roofing the bloody thing, I need to find an efficent way to stop the rot setting in.

I have various options, but would appreciate any advice/experience from those of you who have done this before.

Has anybody used one of those tent thingies with moisture absorbing pellets? Which one is best? I know DP do one but being DP it will be twice the price.

Do I build a tent and fit a de-humidifier to it?

Any help gratefully recieved.

Not such a stupid idea, I always used to keep it in the dining room, but since my divorce I no longer have that option.

Good grief Darren, in that first link the bike grew an extra wheel after the winter!!! Could be a good money earner.

Yeah, I noticed that as well, plus all the extra steel work. Not sure I fancy that extra weight. At least that third wheel would stop me falling over.
