Following on from the announcement of Track Attack 4 at Cadwell, there's been quite a bit of interest in having a TA at Brands - Lily's North/South survey indicates why ;)

I said I'd look into doing something and have been talking with WJB about a block booking on one of his trackdays during the spring using the Indy circuit to keep costs down.

Will come back to you when we have some firm proposals.

sounds good

Not for me, sorry, would love to, but a 200+ mile trip each way, and a day or two off work, and the fact that there are as good if not better circuits closer to me.

I'd like to do brands simply because it hosts WSB, but that's it, apart from paddock hill bend looks like many others.

I'd be interested, only round the corner-ish.

Henry - count us both in, as its a 40 min drive for us.
Cadwell is over 3 & half hours each way (340 mile round trip) - and thats without traffic probs.

ps: still doing Cadwell tho

Gee I don't know .....

Provided it doesn't clash with racing plans then I *may* be able to squeeze this in.

All we need now is for the Scottish region of the DSC to sort something for Knockhill - always fancied a blast round there.:burn:

I am very interested in doing a Brands' track day - should also be able to persuade a couple of Duke riding friends to come along too!

Could be interested, would it be similar to the 2nd Cadwell we did with No Limits where I could use my R6 race bike or whatever bike I am racing next year, especially as North Glos have a race there in 2005. If so I'm sure Dallas as well as Senna3 would be up for it.

... I'm away on hols until 30th and WJB's people are still formulating their plans for 2005 - hope to be able to have more detail before Xmas.

As we'll be doing a block booking on an regular TD it will be open to all suitable machines. We'll try and get an end of week day too if possible.

If you've not ridden the BH Indy you're in for a treat :bouncy:

Might be tempted by this, although the Indy circuit lacks, er, mileage. Is it likely to be before or after 25 July?

i think this kind of idea is great; taking a large chunk of another trackday.
i couldnt do the 2nd trackday at cadwell last year but did silverstone late in the year with quite a few other members and it was great to be all together in the same garage.
lots of us do quite a few trackdays and if things like this are arranged early enough, i for one, would make an extra effort to go on these ones as opposed to just booking up ones on my own.
well done to henners for trying to get something arranged.

I've never done the indy , but I have done the gp and found it a fantastic circuit. Took me a while to get my head round it, well worth it in the end.
Even though the indy isonly half the distance of the gp, a good majority of the best bits are in the indy section.

Count me in plus 2 others.

I'd be up for this - I will need to get some practice on the SPS to set it up. Brands Indy would be ideal 'cos:
a) I've done it a fair few times
b) It's nice n' close
c) It'll be even better with a load of other DSC blokes/gals

Why are all DSC Official Trackdays "oop north"???:sing:

Henners - any news on this?

Whele
14-Jan-2005, 16:40
I have booked 9 dates at brands Hatch between April and September, mostly using the Indy circuit.

The April date has already taken some bookings but as yet the other dates are free.

Because of the wide spread of abilties in the club its not possible (for safety reasons) to dedicate a whole group to the DSC, however I could set aside some dates where DSC members are offered places preferentially to Joe public.

So that these days are not undersubscribed, I would have to open booking to Joe public a set period before the event to fill up extra places.

Visit Apex Trackdays.co.uk for a list of dates available.
