Evening all.

Just wanted to some tips on long term parking at gatwick.

I've found a place that will do it for £96 albeit they are offsite and 10-15 minutes from the airport according to their website and we will be on the shuttle in peak times ....

Dates are:
Drop off at around 9am on Thursday (16th)
Pick up around 10pm on Jan 8

So? Words of wisdom?

TP- would that be with APH???
If so, if you or one of the family are an AA member, then you'll get a 20% discount at Gatwick.
see here...AA APH offer (www.aaparking.co.uk)
I've used them at both Birmingham & Manchester & they are spot on.
Cheers
Andy

We fly out every month and £4 per day is pretty good - what is the name of the company?

It is with APH - to be honest I'm not sure if we're with the AA because our roadside assist came with the car (it's a year old now) and we've never used it.

I'll check it out.

Cheers Rushjob :D

What's the cost of a return taxi to Gatwick?
Or the train?
Or the bus?
Or Shank's pony?

:frog:

More than the £96

Or the train?

Would have to be in peak commuter time with the 4 kids and all our assorted stuff (presents etc) for a 3.5 week stay

Or the bus?

see train response

Or Shank's pony?

Ahhh - island life :D New Year's Eve ... the Spanish tend to stay in with their families and then emerge about 1.30am to party until dawn. Didn't know that the first year we were there and went to bed at one thinking what a quiet boring place - missed all the fun

Yeah I do, I googled 'gatwick parking' and got about 1 gazillion responses!

This is the link I used to find APH (http://www.online-secure-reservations.net/profpark/profpark.asp?agent=aph) (the cheapest).

But there are plenty others, if you are with AA then I'd try the link that Rushjob put up in this thread - cheaper. I haven't checked that one yet, haven't had a chance.

TP - we've used a service in the past where the parking company send a driver to meet you at the pick up/drop off point and then go park the car for you. When you get back you just give 'em a bell and they bring the car back round for you.

With that many kids/luggage I would think this would be a god-send for you, even if you have to pay the extra for the service. So much easier than faffing around with airport buses and the like.

I dont recall who weve used at Gatwick for this, but sure if you went on the BAA?gatwick website they would have details.
