Hello chaps:)

Looks like I'll be digging out the old 851 from the back of the shed after a few years of 'resting ' her.

I've been out of work for 6 months and not found any work yet so SWMBO has decreed that one of the bikes must go to fund food and other things like mortgages etc.

My daily ride is a BMW GS1150 which is a superb all rounder.

Next is a 1938 Norton 500 16h sidevalve with rigid back end and girder forks

and lastly the 851

The plan is to put the Norton and 851 back on the road and decide which one has to go. A VERY hard choice as these are all my 'dream' bikes which I thought I'd never sell.

Looks a bit quiet on the 851/888 front on here. Where has everyone gone?

Helpful!

There are a few 851/888 owners on here but I guess there's not much for them to discuss unless questions crop up. I'm sure they'll all descend if you start stoking up the coals!! ;)

Thanks for the replies.:D

I think there was quite enough ' stoking of the coals ' going on when I first joined :o Perhaps everyone has now grown up:D

Mind you, there are a few spats on the UKGSER forum, which is where I'm normally found these days, quite a few characters too!

I'll pop back when I've dug her out of the shed. The bike, not the missus.

Cheers for now.

Funnily enough, I've just spent 11 days in Italy with nearly 50 presidents of Ducati clubs from around the world and the concensus is that this is a global phenomena and not just in Ducati clubs!

I guess every bridge has its troll!
