does anyone know of a source of trackday bodywork that includes a catch tray and single seat units for these bikes???

also does anyone know if bodywork from a 900ss will fit, or could easily be made to fit the 600???

Sharkskinz do all of the bits - not expensive but probably not as cheap as sourcing from a breakers.

The 600SS has flat side panels, while the later 900's had a vent to direct air to the rear cylinder, but all are a straight swap.

Here's a full set that looks like it is going to go for a good price.

you'll need a friend in the US to ship it back though.

900 stuff will fit but there aren't too many suppliers of the stuff around. Strangely enough German companies seem to be the main makers of cheap GRP bodywork for the SS. Check out eBay for details. No catch trays though 'cos the SS fairing is split vertically as standard.

What you could possibly do is run the SS half fairings with a Monster full length bellypan (I have this on my SL after a track day "excursion").

I hope to be running a SS and I'm going to try and adapt my 916 race fairing as its already paid for and has a oil/fluid containment belly pan as standard.

I've picked up a couple of sets of TD bodywork over the summer, both for about £85, scuffed but perfectly serviceable.

I'm keen on the idea of a half fairing and bellypan, but it'll need to be a cut down version of the full fairing as I've no bloody money to go buying any more fairings....

Cheers,

Ali

Is it possible to integrate a catch tray into the standard SS fairing I wonder ???

thanks for that chaps,

Iconic - that was my concern, the catch tray.

A company in Germany (dioppa.com) make some panels branded Emozione, its looks great but its big money but they do appear to offer "race" variants.

Also how does it work with the fairing supports if I remove the front headlight - do these bikes have a front fairing support bracket/subframe independant of the headlight or is it possible to buy such a beastie ala superbike models??
