Well done Kev - still numero uno I see....
There is a cute little 400ss on FleaBay as well but I guess it would be too much trouble to make into a 600 BUT there again ...
If you were going to big bore up to 620cc anyway ?????????????????

And the 400 is in the right colour for me, was thinking about it if I loose out on the damaged 600. So who pinched the left fairing stay that supports the mirror, or is it just the angle of the pic.

Hee Hee - nice one Kev.
Get that fairing dusted down then - I'd be interested to know just how a 916 fairing fits on a SS !!!

So would I Frank,
Firstly I have to pay for it, then pick it up, followed by a change of Belts, plugs, Oil and Oil Filter, Drain Fuel from Carbs and Tank, replace fuel filter.
Then I will fit my Micron Exhaust, fit my half fairing I have at home along with the old fairing bracket from the 600SS in my Avatar.
Then hopefully I can give it a bit of a run to evaluate it.
Then I can look at designing and making some rearsets, maybe re-springing the rear shock, preloading the fork springs along with changing the fork oil grade and level.
As well as trying to get the 916 fairing to fit.

Well done Kev! Hope she proves a worthy steed! I'm sure given your spares situation she'll come out in May 675cc/150kg on the dot..... :)

will probably use my usuall sources for parts as most of them give me some Discount
Belts and Oil filter ---- Brancato Engineering
Silkolene Oil ----------- Harpers of Cowley
Spark Plugs------------ Harpers of Cowley or Palmer & Phillips (read Senna3's business)
Aeroquip Hoses ------ Race Parts UK
Rear shock Spring---- Race Parts UK
Brake Pads-------------Denis Trollope Racing
Race Can link Pipe----Bike It (may see if I can get a deal on Viper race cans and link pipes for both monsters and SSs through my friend there)
Tyres-------????? Got some already should last a couple of meetings, just have to pinch them off the ZXR400.
I can't see me forking out for a Big bore kit, I want to do it as cheap as possible, I had to chuck a £4k bike in the skip at the TT in 2004.
The question I want answered is how well can a bike costing less than £2k do in this series.
Costings of my 600 Desmo Due racer (will probably put this under a seperate topic as the list grows) will have to think of market prices for the stuff I already have or see if I have the info on what they originally cost me
Bike------------------------------------- £770
Link Pipe--------------------------------
Micron can (Had it already)----------
Rear sets--------------------------------
Belts--------------------------------------
Oil----------------------------------------- £20 4ltrs
Oil Filter----------------------------------
Plugs--------------------------------------
Aeroquip lines--------------------------- £10ea
? Dynojet kit-----------------------------
916 Fairing (Have already)------------
and so on
