View Full Version : Lost the wife!
She is refusing to come in the house:o
I have to laugh, she is at the edge of the garage, with the up & over door open, sitting on my bike, whilst looking lovingly at her bike, and then at her new (for her) purchase of today.
Talk about January sales fever:lol: apparently we have to have a naming ceremony for the little shiny 4 wheeled object on the drive.:puzzled:
Have tried to entice her in with chocolate, and also wine - but she has been happy for me to 'waiter' the stuff outside for her:o
Alan (happily having use of the computer for a change:D)

Have you bought another van Alan:lol::lol:
A Reliant Rialto! How wonderful!
Well done Charlotte!!!
:lol::bouncy::lol:
Its a Smart:o
I really tried to get her to have a good old Jap car, with a meaty engine. She does like driving them (the fast imports), but wanted something lots smaller for the local commute and so she can let mates park more bikes in the drive.
Mind you, she threw it along on the way home - cruising at 80 all the way up the motorway - and having now been able to take it for a short spin, I found the 600 inc turbo was quite pokey - but Im not keen on the semi-automatic it has.
If she parks it properly, I'll be able to get the van in the garden too:D

Well, CK's must be in touch with her masculinity side to simply try, and buy it on the spot (was this the same with Alan?), instead of going around 40 other outlets, to sample, then go back to the original outlet and buy the original item.

Hah hah.....
I bought my wife a new Smart last year, they're great fun. It's an all black one with...wait for it...700 mighty turbocharged cc's. Mrs Jools wanted an automatic version, so we bought the one with the option to switch between fully automatic and semi automatic. When you drive it in semi auto it is suprisingly nippy, perfect for a runabout car. They're so cleverly designed as well, they're like a tardis inside 'cos you can't quite believe that there is so much room in such a small car.
They're probably too girly for most blokes, but whenever I drive it I find myself with a big grin, especially when parking space is tight (as it always is up our road) and you can park it tail onto the kerb. I reckon they're the new mini and capture the cheeky spirit of the original mini much better than the actual new mini, if you see what I mean.
Oh yes, a name...well you can have anything you like but you can't have the name Billy, that's already taken 'cos that's what my wifes Smart is called.
Billy Smart - circus car...geddit
Flanker - Al is always amazed at my shopping speed - when I got the first monster I just walked in to shop - and wanted to pay deposit (I had done the homework at the Bike show previously - and knew what I wanted)
I must have been at the counter for about 10 mins, before poor salesman realised I was serious:o
I really cannot be bothered with traipsing around shops - I apply the 'hit & run' method:lol:
oh yes - Psychlist - join Loz in the norty boyz corner please dear:P:lol::devil:

The Roadster version is even better, but lots of dosh. Now if I had 10 grand to throw around.....:P
Must admit, I hate browsing around too - know what, hit the shop, buy it and get out, thats the way to do it. Leaves more time to ride too.:lol:
