when fitting parts or accessories to my bike its weight is always an issue so i dont really fit any old tat unless its functional or saves a bit of weight itself.

this started me thinking about the weight of the fuel in the tank. racers will only add enough for their race but can you feel the difference beween full and nearly empty tank?

this would be around 18kg on the average bike & if i'm honest with myself i dont think i've ever noticed the extra weight which made me think is the idea of saving a few grams here & there worth worrying about?

hmmmmmm :puzzled:

Safe weight loss 2 lbs a week....

16 weeks before DesmoDue race day = 32 lbs (or 15Kg in new money)
that would cost and awful lot in Carbon or Titanium !!!

Speaking of losing weight,I see that former MCN editor Adam Duckworth is this years male slimmer of the year.He managed to lose 13 STONE(!) from his starting weight.
Good for him.
