View Full Version : Southerly bias?
Has anyone noticed that ALL of the Desmo Due racers (that I know about anyway) so far come from south of Coventry - JHP being the northern-most.
Any theories why?

Those fackin' norvern' monkees always talk a good race.... :frog:
Well, I'd guess its cos most of the people out there racing already are northerners ... they're already at it, and we're just trying to catch up !:P

you must be joking!
you can still get a 4 bed detached oooop nooorf for about 50k cant you?
my train fare is getting on for that just to get to work.;)
Things aren't any cheaper up here you know, we're just more conservative with our money...
I got arrested for breaking into a fiver you know!
I reckon its cash and the fact that most of the races are down south... I would be scared to go that far in case i ended up with some funny accent... :frog:

donington, cadwell x2 !!!!!!
i've got to get my jabs updated and check my passpoert has enough time on it.
I reckon its the other way round. Those with race bikes already e.g. Felix and Weagi prefer "the reassuringly expensive route"
The suvverners are too strapped for cash paying for their overpriced beer, congestion charging, train tickets etc so the MT has come up with a "cheap" race series for 'em!!:P
Don't make it sound too good up here or they'll all be up ere, the price of pigeon lofts with go through the roof!!

you wanna try cheshire :(
I don't think its humanly possible to buy anything in cheshire under 100k these days. It's all these fancy southerners and football players!!
You hardly ever see flat caps these days and the whippets have nowhere to play anymore :P:mad:

You can still do that in the centre of Oxford
As for existing racers such as Whele, Garry Smith & Paynep, hardly norterners

That's just for fun
trust me its not fun!!!
proper uneven stone cobbles with even the slightest bit of damp on them in the last month makes for a very interesting challenge getting the bike in and out of the garage!

Folks,
Sorry you have it wrong, JHP is not the most northerly, we have an entrant from Market Rasen.
