are they the same on the 03 models, I always thought the R swingarm was black.
I know there different on the 04/5 models but apperently they wont fit an 03 s model as they snag the 54mm termi pipe?

any clues.

Karl,

Pre-2004 all 749/999 (including the R) swing arms were finished in a grey cast finish. It was only in 2004 that R's gained the black paint fabricated aluminium swingarm.

For 2005, I think the fabricated swingarm is standard across the whole 749/999 range (but, don't quote me on it).

Sorry, can't help you with the exhaust question.

Cheers!

Scott

What do you mean s/r?

AFAIK the only termi that is available and fits with the fabricated swing arm is the 57mm system.

There is a 54mm system that is in the DP catalog, but it is not available yet.

With regard to swingarms and exhausts. The 03 swing arm, (grey coloured one), and the exhausts to fit with this are completely different to the black aluminium ones. If you want to use one on the other it will require a lot of modification.

In the ducati catalogue they list a black 05 swingarm modified to fit the 03 but its not availale yet, so i was hopeing one of the new arms would fit

You can fit an 04 arm to your 03 bike, you will have to modify the exhaust though.

JHP have done several bikes.....your doesnt need a bit of warranty on it does it? ;)

Just to add another option....JHP had an 04/05 shape type swinging arm in plain aluminium ( slightly polished silver) on their 749r race bikes looked bloody nice. price ??

the swingarms on the race bikes were standard 749R units that had been bead blasted, for 2005 they have a new satin black hard as nails coating.
