Sunday 29th July
Been a bit short of rideouts this year and we haven't had one yet this month
But as the weather has now improved I thought a rideout to the new Ducati Dealers in Reading this coming Sunday could be in order, after all it is the only Ducati Dealership in our region.
http://www.bladegroupducati.co.uk/
So how about we meet up at 9:30 at H-Cafe for a ride down to Reading, then depending on how long we spend there getting Neil Hodgson to sign stuff, test riding bikes etc then we can decide on how lengthy a route we take back to the Cafe.
And hopefully the following Sunday we will head out to the Cotswolds and te Sunday after that we can visit Popham

Hopefully be arriving there between 11:00 to 11:30, I'm not sure exactly where in reading it is, I only have a rough idea. Luckily there are a few that ride with us that know Reading fairly well

I know Bennet Road Kev. Used to be based there with BT.
Its the M4 side of Reading for the Hants guys. Nice ride up from Basingstoke then head for the Stadium, about 2 roundabouts down and then right.
I'll see what routes the Ox/Berks are doing and the Hants and Join up with one of them. That or I'll be doing Newbury to Theale via A4 then a bit of back roading to come out at near the M4 Jcn for Reading

Years ago Ant I did my training at Bletchly Park ( Home of the Inigma Machine crack ) BT owned it then. As I was a buisness Engineer I only did Poles, Holes I did much later near Canterbury somewhere. Hated the holes and managed 10 years of avoiding underground.

In the days of old and bold when women were not invented men had to do telegraph poles and had to be contented.

I'd rather have done the hole than the pole

I was an apprentice at the Research Labs at Martlesham Heath but we had to get an appreciation for all things BT so they sent us all to the training centre at Stone to do a whole load of courses.
spent a lot of time at Stone with Bt a long time ago. Grab a granny night thursday.
Le Mans start on Friday afternoon to get out of the car park

Good to see everyone today, including Steve on his 848 Corse who rode up from Bracknell and met us at H-Cafe. Rode down to Reading via Henley and picked up the A4 just the other side of Wargrave, managing to avoid the showers.
Stayed for about 2 hours, was going to leave a little bit sooner but waited for the downpour to finish, then just as we were departing Debbie from Ducati UK arrived so said a quick hello then we were off dodging the showers, just couldn't dodge the spray from the roads that often resembled streams.

Thanks Kev and all for a great morning. I really enjoyed the ride to Reading. There is nothing quite like the sound of half a dozen v twins (and that rather nice v4) to put a smile on your face.
Cheers,
Buckers
