Now got some Showa 900ss/sl forks to fit to my 94 750ss :) Going to treat them to some fresh fork oil,just wondering what folks thoughts are on Make,Grade and quantity to use?? Also what settings you may recomend? Im 90kg when suited and booted,this is for Road Use.

Depends on what springs are in them, if they are the original standard springs what sort of condition are they in, probably slightly different to when they were new so may be worth increasing the oil level (reduce the air gap) over the standard setting so the effect of the air spring assists the steel springs

Any special markings to look out for to see if they are standard original springs?....

Standard Springs usually consist of two different sections where one section which is often a shorter section has a higher density of coils compared to the other section
Often single rate aftermarket springs have the spring rate engraved on one end.

If standard duel rate springs check the overall length against that stated in the manual and see how close they are to the wear limit
