SP4, just needs "Freshening Up", suspension being done this weekend, new softer springs, lighter oil etc,
Off for a full 12K service, new belts, shimming up next weekend, MOT soon after (if I can blag the tester that termis were fitted as standard)
I may be putting out a grovelling post to borrow some standard pipes if it fails
Maybe some Pirelli Diablos, if I can Afford it (due do the expected grevious bodily invoicing!)
Roll on Easter!

Don't be too worried about the Termis Simon, the criteria for pipes has changed in the MOT. They are only failed now if in the opinion of the tester they are too noisy- just find yourself a tester who is hard of hearing!

The last owner told me it is that noisy it sets off car alarms! and it did sound very fruity when I started it when I bought it.
Should be OK then:lol:

New to this lark, be gentle with me!
A well modded SP4 sits in my garage, now ready for the summer.
In answer to otto's question about supermotos, I have a CRF 450 which I race so go and buy one you'll love it, and the best bit is superbike baiting through corners!!!
Hello to Nat and Rob.
Rob gotta get the rev counter wired up, I'll phone you.
Welcome.Another Sp4!!How many of those things did they make!!:D

More than most people think it seems i think i've seen them in the 600's but I could be confused. Not difficult!!
They were rare in 1992 when i had mine!!!

Digressing slightly, I had the first ride on my 888SP4 last night.
Good grief, what a beast ! It spits and snarls and growls and barks and goes like a scalded cat (er....some mixing of metaphors here, but you get the drift).
Someone this week (stand up Clippy) reported that he'd traded a 996SPS for a 998S because the SPS was too brutal....well the SP4 makes the SPS seem like a big box full of fluffy kittens.
I won't be putting too many miles on the SP4 but I have a feeling that every single one will be memorable. Now I understand what you 888 guys are on about....
They are good aren't they!!:DNon of this sanitised rubbish!!BRUTAL is the word.Love it!!

Try one with Bimota Tesi race inlet cams (lumpier than the sps cams) and an FIM programable chip! That comes "on cam" very nicely
