Well late october i get the usual call "mav how busy are you?"
well you just know whats coming next!:D
After a couple of long runs down the south of france, two trips to Assen and a few more trips to the ring , It was time to do some makeovers.
ok so where do you realy start? The Key plan was to strip the bikes pretty much down to engine , frame, forks and wheels
and get started with the Refurb program.
first job is to remove all Tar spots Traffic film, crud etc etc
well it's not just a case of spray some Degreaser on and wash it of;)
so all the looms were disconected and all connections cleaned and a smear of waterproof grease on them etc etc
(you would be amazed how corroded the connections can become!)
Then it's on to some major degreasing with tooth brush and many a painstaking hour removing all the crap that had got into the places where you just cant get during normal cleaning!
After the bike is in "Bling" condidtion we then have a meeting to decide what if any MODS they want doing and so on !
wheels painted, Ohlins damper and shocks fitted , and whatever els takes their fancy;)
once that is all taken care of , i then start on pannels with a dam good "T" cut and polish or get paint work sorted if they are showing worse for wear:D
and after that it's rebuild time making sure of attention to detail
and the end results look A OK !
All Ready now to go and do it all over again NEXT year
ps some pics below..........mav
All in all about 3 grand in parts and labour was spent!
