Transferring Number Plate????

Hi

I have an old step thru moped from the 60's. It's resistered in my name, taxed and mot'd with a 3 letter, 3 digit plate.
Someone has mentioned to me that the plate is worth far more than the bike.
If this is the case, does anyone know if it can be transferred/sold.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

DVLA to get a definitive answer would be your best route.

I would be tempted to leave it on the moped until sold as there's a few requirements to transferring and leaving it on a vehicle makes it a lot easier!
