How difficult is the riveting of a chain?
Surely the right tool and its pretty straight forward:D
Or is there something I should know?:puzzled:
Thanks for any advice:bouncy:

all i have ever used is two hammers mate no need for a special tool
M1keyP,
It's a very straight forward job. Whole lot easier with the rear wheel removed.
Hardest part is getting the two ends of the chain to meet up so that you can insert the link. Tis a time when being born an octopus would have been an advantage.
Tiewrap the ends together.
MikeyP, where abouts in the world are you? I've got a proper tool if you need to borrow it (and I don't mean a ball-peen hammer :P ;) )
Age,
I also have the splitter and riviter tools. I'm a liitle closer if your about near Poole at anytime soon.
Rgds, Rob
Thanks for the offers of tool, I have acess to the tool, I was just S**t scared of cocking it up.
It is looking like even I will be alright:lol:
Thanks again for the quick advice
Don't push the rivit link on too tight. It's sooooo easy to create a tight spot.

my last chain had a special spacer to put in the link so as you could not make link to tight
