View Full Version : Visordown Mem meet at Donny
Anyone on here going along as a DSC rep, or are all those that aregoing also on VD itself?
How much of a cross over contingent do we have?
I'm on VD a bit, but generally don't post much.
What is the Donny meet?

It's the biggest of the year and usually a very good turn out.
Full details on the days out forum.
It's a meet (only ride being to the meet itself) to remember downed friends both on VD and personally.
We had a whip round last year which was donated to riders for health. It raised 180 quid.

Fair enough, I haven't met any VD'rs yet, although I know one of them is working for a good friend of mine now at the same company as me. One of the 'motard fella's.
I haven't been overly inspired to meet some of them because of the way that place comes across but there are some good people there. I tend to stick more to the racing section, the 'motards, gallery ;) , with the occasional foray into General. Which is where it's generally messy.

I know what you mean. I take it all very lightheartedly and tend to post my fair share of dross when the mood takes. The good 'uns do shine through though, and I'm regularly surprised by the offers and help or assistance that come back when you ask for it.
I've had people that don't know me offer up spare rooms when in a jam. Now they may be mad ax murderers, but the thoughts there ;)

That's how it all started. It generally gets called the Storm Memorial meet or Storm ride. But it's expanded to include anyone and everyone lost to biking.
Chance to pay respects, remember and to say hello to as many on line friends as possible.
