Hi all,
Got a little problem, goes something like this:
I have a friend that needs an extemely simple website, but it must be database driven. He's an artist (prolific but impoverished) that needs a simple way to upload thumbnails and large images of his work to a dbase for publication on his site.
The theory goes that there are 9 attributes to each image (7 text, plus two filenames (the images)) which require storing. The guy himself would manage the homepage, but there would need to be three templates built in JSP/ASP/perl/etc:
1) to upload the images and text detail
2) to serve the thumbnail pages
3) to serve the detail pages
This is all a very long way of saying "does anyone know where the hell I can find a very cheap web developer capable of writing a couple of easy scripts and setting up a database table????" I can find a thousand companies where I can get hosting for £50 a year, but none that'll do a few hours work for less than £10k!!
