My girlfriend will kill but..

I want to go racing!

I currently have a Monster 796 and am thinking of getting a track bike.

I started riding in Dec last year, bought the monster in Feb and started trackdays in April. I have done 7 this year, one CSS and loving it.

I did have a little off at Brands Hatch and I ended up changing the top yoke and bars to clip ons (though I didn't need to, I think they look and feel nicer!) so don't want to kill my bike.

Speaking to Steveoooo he suggested that if I like track days, then I should give DD a bash.

So if I can find a bike for the right price then I might be joining you on the track next year

Is there a last sign up date for the 2013 season?

Looks like you have signed up with time to spare which entitles you to a Free 2013 DD T-shirt when we've had them done.

Yeah I think I have done all the signing up I need to do.

Think I just have to do the CTC.

Then pick up bike. Get a trailer. and a tow bar, and probably a car to fit it to. get spares. Get one piece leathers. Persuade my girlfriend I can race and save for a house.

(not comprehensive list)

Welcome to the Club!
DD is an excellent way to start racing - great bikes, great fun and a great bunch of fellow racers.
It'll be the best fun you've ever had ... just don't tell the missus that ;)

If you mean me, I have never had a DD bike. This will be the first time I have raced.
