My son is doing a topic at school on motorcycle racing. Anyone got any track layouts that he could use, interestingly his favourite track is Laguna Seca, beats me everytime on his playstation.

Also a simple answer that 10 year olds could understand as to why riders hang off the bike so much, and why the bike doesn't fall over (most of the time).

I know he should do his own homework, but you know what it's like.... Sunday night made panic...glue, scissors, paper, nightmare

Cheers

No Limits site has links to the tracks which give maps and some details of both UK and European circuits.

To answer your question on "hanging off". The reason for this is to lower the center of gravity. The bike uses less lean angle so giving the tyre a bigger foot print.

You forgot about "it looks cool" as being the reason for hanging off :)

And centrifugal force along with gyroscopic effect being the reason bikes don't fall over.

and....counter steering is using gyroscopic precession to turn fast!!!!
