GIT!!!

I really want to go and found cheap flights and with exchange rate its a good value, but need to wait and find out about work for his lordship first.

Other option may just be to do a normal trackday there, but with bike hire it may not be any cheaper.

The pied wagtail is the smallest bird in britain which is able to walk.
A Pidgeon is the only bird able to suck from the ground - up.

are there birds that are smaller that can't walk?

why would a pidgeon want to suck?

wren?

The Wren is one of the UK=s smallest birds (weighing c. 8 g) and occurs throughout the UK in a wide variety of habitats. It is known to be affected strongly by snow cover and cold winter temperatures with breeding populations severely reduced after particularly cold winters. Numbers can recover quickly, however, because under most conditions Wrens can produce two broods per year of around 5-8 young, each of which survive well if winters are mild. Changes in population size between years are strongly related to mean temperatures in December, January and February.

another bit of useless info from the building industry:

BS5534: Code of practice for slating and tiling, recommends that no space at the eaves should allow a 16mm ball to pass through (known as the BS TIT Test, named after the smallest British bird that nests in houses)

tis the wren. Some people refer to the goldcrest as the samllest bird in britain, but it's a pretender I say, as it's more a european bird.
Should I have said indigenous?

Why does it suck?
So it can drink. Why else?

In music a major scale always has the same chromatic formula. As you go up the scale the notes you need to play (after you've played the first note you choose - or root note) are tone, tone, semi-tone, tone, tone, tone semi-tone.

Play that relative pattern starting on any note and you'll have played a major scale of whatever note it was you started from.

So, on a piano, if you start on C it's all the white notes

Continuing the bird theme, what is the only bird that;

1) can fly backwards?
2) can walk upright?
3) has a willy?
