Does anyone know where I can still get one of these ? have had the 748 less than 3 hours and its already annoying me :)
Looked at one site that was linked on here, but it hadnt been updated for years so didnt know if it was still current.
On a similar topic - is there anyone who does replacement rear seats in non standard colours - want one in white so it'll match the finish I have planned, black or red will stand out too much.

well thats easy ..
www.cornerspeed.co.uk or 01623 758877
Just speak to our very own Nelly, he has them on the shelf ready for deliver I believe ...
A fair few people here have his kit .....
HTH
point 2 .. quicker and easier to get the one you have recovered or get a seat cowl painted like this one on my bip unit ......

Thats similar to the look I want to go for on the seat unit, but thought of doing it without the single seat cover on there, so it would still look right with the seat on show, will have a hunt around
thanks for the info on the stand, will get in touch with them asap before I forget I'm on the Duc and drop it !

I'm sure I would to, but I'd be gutted if I didnt get one and then dropped it because I forgot ! too many years riding bikes with normal stands its second nature just to kick it down and tip the bike over..... :(

sorry for the slight thread hijack but is there something that can be done so that you can warm up the bike on its stand. (bypass the cut out)
Cheers
Chris,
Same solution, call Nelly (details above), he has the sidestand bypass kits.
Job done.
Yep, Sidestand cut-out switch can be bypassed.
Got mine from Nelly at Cornerspeed

Have you got a "flip up" stand or a stand with a "cut-out"?
If it's just a flip-up stand then you can modify it to stop flippin' flipping-up by sawing off the sidestand bolt.
Here's how:
- put bike on a paddock stand
- retract stand (it will have done it already)
- undo stand pivot allen bolt and lock-nut (this can be done without removing stand as it usually stays in position due to retract spring)
- saw off thread that protudes past back face of stand so that pivot bolt is flush on back-side.
- file to remove sharp edges
- re-install pivot bolt with copious amount of threadlock
- adjust bolt tightness to ensure smooth operation of stand
- once happy with bolt tightness, centre punch bolt flange edge so that it doesn't come undone.
- remove bike from stand
- ride away

Ricky,
Can you take a picture to help on this one - looking to do it on my 916, and not sure which bit to saw off
Cheers

Yes a very good tip, reminds me of a certain trip I had out, on the way back I thought I would pop in and see a mate who was in hospital after binning his bike, pulled up and no stand! The previous owner had greased the bolts and the stand had fallen off some where. Just try parking up your bike with out a stand! it’s a good job the misses was in when I got home.

You dont have to cut anything off, you can simply replace the bolt and plate
