View Full Version : First Ride
Had my first ride on new bike today.
The ride didn't get off to a great start but I will let him tell you about that. :o :(
I was a tad nervous setting off on my own, but started to get into the swing of it after a few miles.
My main impression was how much easier it is to ride than the 748r. The engine feels smoother and the extra grunt means not constantly banging up and down the box.
Oh yeah and its very quick
But I did manage to lock the back wheel up so i guess i need to work on this blipping thing or buy myself a slipper :(

is it easy to lock up the back or were you nailing it then whacking it down near the redline?:)
Quote :cough: "maybe.........." where her words.... Hmmmmm :puzzled:
hard to determine 'nailing it' i thought i was riding safely and sensibly :D
Is it just me or is the tail unit sticking up more than it should?
Felix
Had to make a special bracket to clear the subframe etc so it sits slightly higher, but not too much.
Ah, I was going to guess at some new ladies side saddle thingy.:D
I'm well chuffed for u.

ENJOY, sure u will:D

I see Lily's response, plan of the day was go out for a blast on the bikes, then clean the car. Obviously those plans went slighty wrong...
Cheeky git! :frog:
Again.... sweet ride and congrats :)
But why is the bike painted black?
Do you plan on restoring the original paint, since it's a Bostrom edition?
the original bodywork is on top of the wardrobe and staying there!
it stays in track bodywork just in case i drop it and saves me swapping it everytime i do a track day :D

Ohhh, i see..... clever girl :D ;)
So you usually do track days ?
as many as i can afford :D
i tend to sacrifice other stuff in favour of bike bits, track days and servicing.
Got to get your priorities right in life :smug::sing:

Oh my!!
I see we share the same values and priorities in life :D:sing:
i reckon that half the dsc share those values and the rest probably would if they didn't have kids :)
As long as i have enough cash to buy the odd girly bits (shoes etc) then pretty much everything else goes on bikes or snowboarding!

But i do have 3 kids :D
The funny thing is that until some months ago i usually had to have 3 bikes, one for each kid. I think it's a way to compensate myself :D:D:D

.....All I know is that it has been copied by many ;)
Plus mine always stayed pretty much in the same guise, whereas yours was clad in new wheels every week!
