Is it possible ( as in easy DIY job) to modify the lock in a filler cap to open with any key?

I've just bought a spare tank for trackday use with cap but no key and don't want to have to replace the cap if I don't have to.

Thanks

Jason

Jason when you find the solution let me know please as I have just bought a spare tank for track days and the fuel cap i have has a key but I would rather use one key for bike and cap.

Get a non-locking cap is the easiest way.

Bought mine for £50 from http://www.moto2.co.uk/ but I think that was a show special.

Saw these on ebay today which might be worth a look...

Note that the round caps are universal - same for 916/748 as for SS, etc.

I'd rather save the £50 if I can, though it's on my options list.

Cheers Kev,

Had a read through it, and it looks OK to me, so I'll give it a go at the weekend.
