Hi,

I'd like to swap my steering damper for an ohlins unit. I've seen loads of 916 / 996 / 998 units on e-bay.

Can I get one of these and either use the end eye from my standard unit or buy a new eye.

Only asking as these seems to be a cheaper option than either buying a new Ohlins or a rare as hens teeth second hand 999 unit.

Any suggestions .... that won't get censored :puzzled:

Hmm,the eye is definately differant on the 749/999.Dunno whether you can swap them tho.
The mounting bracket looks differant too.
Sorry,not much help.
