Decided unlikely to find 998R at sensible price (most are 13k!!! - list retail is just over 12k!) so I'm going to get a 998s

Does any one know the difference between the mono & Bip

I think the mono has a light weight sub frame & a different spring in the shock & that's about it??

Thanks

Sounds about right, you could go for a Bayliss/Bostrom and get an Ohlins front end also...

As far as I know that is the sum total of the differences

Were the rep ones not also blessed with Ohlins forks?

ps note to self ... read post above ...

Thanks for confirming what I guessed

Not keen on reps - like plain red or yellow - how exciting am I!!

I can confirm the above comments but would suggest that you try and get a red one......................there faster.

If your interested there were only 27 998sMono`s inported to the UK and of those only 7 or 8 (can`t remember the exact number) were yellow so the yellow ones are a bit of a rare beasty!

Yeah fancy a red one had a yellow 748SPS for 4 years so I think I've done yellow!!

Only 20, that'll probably make it harder to find than an R!!

May have to settle for a bip with a seat conversion.....
