I'm going to France for a week on saturday, and I'm not sure how to attatch the tail pack to my bike (748). There doesn't seem to be anywhere to hook the bungee straps to...

How do other people put them on?? I have a cheap Oxford tail pack.

Thanks....

there is another thread on this..try luggage or tailpack in the search function - i think Ath748 had it sorted - you use the rear footpegs(Biposto model), but as far as i am concerned still worried about the straps under seat/pipes etc etc??

better off with a back pack and tank bag, only a week so you will not need to carry much

Invest in the ventura system, the best

me too, i just grafted the ventura onto my 916, its certainly not going to win in the looks dept, but it wont go anywhere thats for sure.

I'll be boringly conformist and agree Ventura stuff is the best option for carrying contraband on the back of your bike.

Have you ever seen the results of a badly fitted tail pack that slips into the rear wheel? Not nice at all:( and Ducati's, especially anything with a single seat are not overly endowed with good bungee points.

I also think rucksacks are garbage for long journeys, unless you have a very fit French bird perched on your pillion seat with the largest possible rucksack on her back. French ladeez seem to cope remarkably well with this form of torture at 150mph:lol:

Nope, not me - I can't take credit for sorting the Oxford luggage, although I want to!! This was the thread...
