Has anyone used a certain product or knows a good solution to repair carbon fibre panels, as I noticed on one of the mounts has a small hole/crack in the side.

Thanks

I use carbon sheet and expoxy for repairing my sailing skiff. Its same as fibreglass, mix epoxy, brush over underside of whatever you want to repair put carbon on, brush more epoxy into it then get rid of excess, you cannot use it on the outside and expect to get a repair that is anywhere like the original finish which is usually vacuum formed. try an line marine shop like LDC Sailboats or Purple Marine . I've fixed cracks or stone chips on underside of huggers using that method. Small surface scratches can be polished out ith 2000 grade wet and dry then a lot of polishing.

no problem but wait until you price the epoxy and carbon!! its expensive unless you have another use for it.

Alternative would be to go to a company that make composite (carbon or glass fibre) products. They will have everything you need to carry out a simple repair and most will do it for for beer money if you go round to the "factory door".

It'll be well worth sending a U2U no Neil748R. He's done some superb carbon repair for me. In fact, I need to send him one myself after my Cadwell incident.
