Top blokes at insuremyducati.co.uk. Paid £588 to Carole Nash to insure my 748S with non BSI approved exhausts.

Policy was going to start on 19/7/03 with CN, filled in the form on the insuremyducati website on 17/07/03 and received a call within the hour. Ronny said cost would be £470 with the same cover, UK & European breakdown, helmet leathers etc plus exhausts covered.

Told him I had already paid money to Carole Nash, I then 'did not take out' policy with CN and had to pay £20 admin fee. Ronny then said that insuremyducati would pay £18 towards the CN admin fee of £20.

Overall the policy cost me £452. The cheapest fully comprehensive quote I received from anywhere that also covers the grey area of Termis.

Very satisfied

Got the same good type of quote, saving over £100.00. They also said that they would pay the admin fee.

Good call.

Here are my vitals:

28
N.London postcode
1 yrs no claims
2 claims in the past 5 yrs inc recently stolen R1
Garaged
Datatool
Oxford locks
Tracking device

The initial quotes on a new MV F4(!) were:
1) Sorry mate...cann't do it
2) Have u won the lottery yet?
3) £2300 please fully comp!

Ronnie has been working on this for days and must have called everyone under the planet to get
£1336 Fully comp

Yes I know it sounds a lot but thats nearly a 50% reduction.

Excellent work guys/gals.

How about insurance for a trackbike for the road? eg. No lights etc., cheap bodywork and lots of mods? Mine is due for renewall in September so will be worth a look. It's a pain insuring the bike for just the ocasional ride out but will give it a go anyway.

I must apologise to Ronnie for not getting back to him, reason being that I managed to save another 100 quid somewhere else, I am not saying that Ronnie's quote was to high, I just shopped around and saved some more wonga !

But I would say Ronnie's service etc is excellent, very informative and helpful.

Can agree that Ronnie is top bloke.

BUT - what wasnt explained, was that the fantastic breakdown recovery (which is also valid for Europe), is only valid in the UK for 100 miles. Wont take you home over that limitation, only to a garage.

Not happy now - will be on the phone in the morning - as not going ahead if that is a 'definate'. Otherwise, quote was great.

I think you will find that the first 100 miles is free with Wisecall and thereafter from 0.50 per mile if you are further away. Most breakdowns are to nearest garage only so it's swings and roundabouts. Following an accident its recovery to home with Wisecall and there is no limit to the number of call outs.

Huge thumbs up to the guys and gals on the other end of the phone at insuremyducati.com
Damn good price on the duke insurance, even owning up to all the extras on the bike. They chased my previous broker who was ****ing me off about sending my no-claims letter, and when the duke started leaking a few days before Magny Cours they added my old blade to the policy for next to nothing.
Magny Cours was brilliant (even on the rice burner!) - did any1 else get down there?
