This has probably been done to death in the past but I can't find a satisfactory answer.

I am doing my IAM and am hindered by the fact I can't see anything behind me without lifting my arm out of the way.

Can anyone recomend a pair of mirrrors that give me a view of something other than my elbows. Also they should look OK, use the standard fixings if poss and not vibrate.

Too much to ask?

I think Brancato do mirror extenders which are nothing more than blocks that push your mirrors out a bit further. They look quite good as they fit the style of the bike.

I have been using VFR750 / CBR 600 mirrors - they work well but look a bit large, still look better then the Brancato extensions - however, I bought a pair of mini bar-end mirrors from Infinity at the weekend (£30)- they are excellent once you get used to the new location and the fact that the images are small due to the convex shape.

Love that carbon solo seat on the Brancato site.

i use the brancato method i have had them for about 4 months and still undecided if i like them or not aesthetically speaking-- but for pure practical purposes they are brilliant

Better than std but still not really good enough:

I've just ordered a pair from Brancato as this seemed the simplest (and cheapest) method to try first.
