Guys, I am going to be there for the evening session.
Never been to Silverstone and look forward to see one of the motorism temple in UK. I know is not great for bikes, wide and fast, more for cars, F1 circuit.... but for 49 pounds is fine to check it out and put a mark on it waiting for Donnie, Cadwell and Brands GP.

Drop a line if any from the DCS will be there.
Ciao

I'm in, I work in Milton Keynes, so not far to go for a blat, slow/inter group too as it's the first time I have tried the SPS on track!

Lady on the phone said from 4 o'clock to sign on, but I'm thinking 4.30 is soon enough, supposed to be on track for 5.30.

Cheers,
Ian.

Hope everyone got home safely........what a brilliant evening!!! Glorious sunshine, the gp track is woo hoo!! Nice to see Harv again and his tool!!!

The ducati that was on its side just at the end of the complex????? was that you Simon??? Are you aware of the site tradition with a new avatar?:frog:

Yep...was a cracking eveining. The first time for me on the GP circuit and after a bit of a nervous start (very quick in places)...It really grew on me to the point where I was really loving it in the last session.

Typical though...my regulator ( i think, going to have to now do a search) started to pack up causing the bike to splutter and the rev counter to pack-up. Happened on the last lap of the evening though so no worries there.

Theres something about Silverstone and regulators for me, first time I ever went there on my old 748, the regulator practically blew itself up!!!

Nice to see Brggins again on his 999 xerox rep and Bradders, who popped in on his way home from work, in a loverly pink shirt and tie combo :o

As for Simon...a little bruised I think (both ego and physically) but he was walking around shortly after.

As for crashing twice in 3 sessions...well...I leave him to explain that!!!

Harv, did i see you and brogins battling it out at one point? Sounded awesome on the start / finish straight!

Harv748
07-Jun-2005, 23:31
Well it was great fun, following and swapping places for one session...until my engine/rectifier started playing up and I was unable to give it some down the staright...but no worries there...just had him through bridge corner instead:D

andyb
07-Jun-2005, 23:33
That, and abbey before it, are so deceptively fast corners. I still cant work out how the superbike boys go through it flat out though??

Harv748
07-Jun-2005, 23:42
If Abbey is the corner (slight left kink) before the bridge...then that was my favorite bit...not flat out by any means...but a real test of your dangly bits!!!
Slight lift off the throttle, then down under bridge for a quick right....nice!

Bike sounded awsome tho mate...Simon - we kinda met, I was the big guy in the 'poofy' pink shirt (cheers Harv - roll on cadwell!!) but you were a bit busy sorting it for the next session

What a day!
I don’t know what to say, but I loved it,

And yes I did come off 2 times out of 3 but the first one was not bad and the 2nd one was, I think the bike high sided but I’m alive in a bit of pain.

:borg:

So whose got spares going I need a lot :barfy:

Bradders I remember you, yep I was busy getting the grass out of the bike, well it look like cornerspeed is going to love me or hate me?

Great evening, shame I didn't get time to wander and chat, but you don't get much time for that with 20mins on and 20 off!! First time out on the SPS and all went well, absolutely luved it :sing:

But wow, was their some traffic in that no.1 group :o

Harv748
08-Jun-2005, 10:31
Ahhhh...so that was you Ian...I did see you bike and you a couple of times, but as you say it was a bit manic in the pits with about 10 minutes max off the bike before going out again.

You were lucky actually...I thought about coming over and trying to give you the hard sell with my ride height tools!!!

That would have put you off the DSC forever!!!
